Cloud-capped Peak- One part of the Lingering Garden.Flanked by the Auspicious Cloud and Mountainous Cloud Peaks, the 6.5 metre high Cloud capped Peak stands aloft to the north of the hall with its reflection in the still water of a pool in front. It's the finest and highest limestone in Suzhou, believed to be left behind by the imperial collector of the Northern Song Dynasty.
Tiger Hill--No.1 sight of Suzhou- With a history of over 2,500 years,the Tiger Hill has been known as No.1 Sight of Suzhou.It is a must for tourists.The Tiger Hill boasts impressive rocks,deep dales,and changing scenery at all times. No wonder it has been an inspiring sight in the area south of the Lower Yangtze. The Yunyan Temple Pagoda and the Sword Pool are most famous on the hill.the simple,archaic and imposing Yunyan Temple Pagoda,also known as the Second Leaning Tower on earth, stands aloft at the top of the hill, serving as a symbol of ancient Suzhou for years.And the windy vale and cloudy spring make the visitor reluctant to leave.Tiger Hill sees Spring Flower Show and Autumn Temple Fair,two special events a year, becoming a favorite tourist site.
the Couple's Garden- In Chinese "ou" means "a couple",the Couple's Garden manifesting the couple, were both to live in seclusion.It has three aspects of beauty,the first:Beauty of location.It lies in a comer of eastern Suzhou,closes to the city wall,with three sides facing the river to be imbued with the local charms of the water regions.The second:Beauty of sentiment. Everywhere of the free handed arrangement in the gardens shows the congenial interests of the couple, man and wife, of their seclusion in this Peach Blosesom Land.The third:Beauty of rockeries.The Rockery,heaped up with yellow rocks,is one of the representative work of the Jiangnan gardens,while the western garden takes the old house as the main hall which provided the husband a place to study in and the place for wife to weave.In front of and at the rear of the house are rockeries and towering rocks to mean that they were living in a true secluded mountain, tilling and studying.
